    ... on the property, but this man comes weekly. I try to get in on the fun, and say ok I'd like 3 peppers, mezzo kilo (half kilo) pommorodini (tomatoes) and my what nice eggplant! Lena laughs and says we will talk later, quit trying to give them money and hands me some bags.     ... Best yet is the fact we now live only a 2 minute walk away from our Italian family, the Schianos. That is best perk of being here , to renew our acquaintances and make new friends. Our home is the top floor of a 2 story building, with other Americans living below.     ... br> We returned to the hotel after 10pm and Sarah had her first teary moment of the trip saying she was tired and missing home. Not bad considering we hit our half way point tomorrow and she is only now having her first bout of homesickness. Once the girls were tucked up in bed Mike and I headed down to the bar where we could get internet reception and unsuccessfully tried to find accommodation for the next couple of nights on the Amalfi coast.

  • You learn so much when you home school your children…holy ****…I can’t even get started on the things I know now that I once did not (and should have)…topics like: Marco Polo, Mesopotamia, Ben Franklin, - actually it doesn’t matter the topic – Wade and I learn something new.
