Didn't do much today, we got picked up by one of Jen's cousins and went to the Nanning Zoo. Well what a disappointment, the big cats were in small in closures rill of mud and no green rass at all, it was discussing. The ones that were not in there they were in concrete cages and nothing like their environment. All in all it was a great disappointment that the would treat these animals like this. ... Of course I have included the photos for you all to drool over!! Quite exciting as I can't recall when I last had a birthday cake and my students insisted that they light the candles, sing me Happy Birthday, make a wish etc - like when I was a child. They also smeared my face with the icing telling me it was customary in China to wish me good luck and happiness for the future??!!?? Not too sure about that one ...

... figures overnight.

Braved the cold on Saturday night and headed off to the Firefly Coffeehouse with some students. I think I am their moral support as they are so scared of using their oral English out and about by themselves. Have added a few photos from the night - gave my camera to the students and ended up with heaps of photos they wanted!!! So I've been busy emailing them.....aren't I a good-hearted teacher!!
