Weer een stukje film met dolfijnen rond de boot, op weg van Sines naar Lagos ...

I made it to Lagos yesterday. Its basically a beach/party town. The second place that I walked into turned out to be a really great room for 25 euros a night complete with my first english language tv of the trip. Today I spent part of the day in Sagres, the southwestern most point in europe. Good for pictures and walking really really far. Tomorrow I´m going to attempt to get to Seville.

This weekend I went on a trip to Lagos, Portugal with an organization called DiscoverSevilla. I had an absolutely amazing time!!!!!!!!!!! This is my first trip outside of Spain and it couldn't have gone better.

We arrived at the hotel dropped off our belongings and had a few hours to explore before dinner. The hotel was right on the beach and had an absolutely amazing view, I have never seen ...

But, what was funny was that the countries on there included, get this...Canada..okay....USA...okay...Ire land...Got ya..Poland, wow....now, under Austria ther was Alaska...****en..ALASKA..I pointed it out to the bartender and he goes. Haha, wow, you are the first person to point that out. Well, then, you wanna do a beer bong? and i replied yah, how much....2.50..So, i did a beer bong in a bar for 2.50. And i didnt notice until ater when i tasted ...

So now we find ourselves in Spain, our fourth country on the list. Let's backtrack to our adventures in Lisboa and Lagos.

After being pleasantly surprised with our amazing hostel, Lisbon Lounge, we headed out for our first meal in Portugal. All of us were like what the hell, it is freezing. Anyway, we had a big sleep-in the next day, and we were supposed to go sea kayaking but luckily for Megg the sea was too rough and it got postponed (Phew!). So Megg slept most of the day and I chilled on the beach ...

I recently returned from a beautiful vacation with my girlfriend in Lagos. As a symbol of our commitment, we purchased a pair of brown coconut rings in the main square. There were hundreds of them and they were 1-2 euros.

Well it's been almost 28 hours since we left a cold, wet and windy Melbourne on Monday and we are here at last! The flights were generally OK with no major issues, aside from a plane load of children on the BA flight from London to Faro (we were prepared for this since July/Aug is the summer holiday season in Europe) and BA deciding to split us apart in the seating but were not able to seat us together cos the plane was full - very odd).

After rocking up to my Hostel in Lagos at 11:30 at night i was pretty keen to get out see the town so dumped my bags and set off to find the find the first pub with cold beers. The night started pretty calm with a bit of a stroll around Lagos town stopping off for the occasional pint at different pubs. Finally i met this American dude and started drinking with him and before i knew it, it was 8am in the morning ...

... the beach and 800 meters away from centrum full of nice fish restaurants. For 25 Euro per night, in June. Early session, very few customers. After a long sunny beach day, afternoon we were using swimming pool as a private family pool! It was amazing.
