Lake Baikal in Siberia ...very very big and we are off the train for two nights and having showers...the sceneries are spectacular
My 3rd night, I can sleep inside a comfortable warm hostel room! Right now it is actually snowing here in Irkutsk, which will force me to do some planing, on how to reach the Chinese boarder eventually.
But don't let's get ahead to much, as the saying says, " we will find a solution when we have to cross the bridge".

As many people already suggested, 83 hours sat on a train may well not amount to Helen's idea of a once in a lifetime dream trip. ... but absolutely terrible service. This was to become a feature of restaurants in Russia but it never became anything less than frustrating. The order came out in dribs and drabs with some having to wait over an hour for their food. Wendy and I tried red caviar but I couldn't see what the fuss was all about. Apparently black caviar is nicer more expensive but it would have to be A LOT nicer than the red stuff to make it worth while.
