... the apartment will make me appreciate this place, as opposed to drain me of every ounce of energy that I have after a morning teaching highschoolers. I know that I will get out and explore, as there is so much I have not found yet on this side of the island. Everything is that much more accessible and I can't wait to wander the streets to see what I can find.

Here's to the start of a new attitude on this island and life in the sun instead of the shadows.

... mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie. Without a single thread of complaint, I ended up making nearly all of the dishes. As per usual, I was running around a few hours beforehand because there were things I still needed, but in the end... everyone was smiling, satisfied, and thankful. ... We did a hike with a moderately steep climb for 2km. Saw an amazing view and then slide down, mas or menos :D, the other side of the mountain. Despues de la montaña, Fuimos buscando una cueva! I was initially hesitant to go because of my leg, but so incredibly happy I decided to tag along.
~Hamburguesas, el tamaño de tuyo cabeza. The only way to get it right is to go for the Hamburguesa completa. Complete with bacon and fried egg. So big, so delicious, SOO worth it.

D'Alt Vila though small, is very high up has 2,500 years history and is a world heritage site. After entering through the drawbridge you enter the main square with a few cafes and boutique shops and then work your way up through the beautiful buildings and cobbled streets.
