Turkish sailing

... on the sun beds!" The rest of the boat was a little banged up but in good condition. The meals where good and everyone got to know each other. The cruise is slightly different to sail Croatia. Number one, this is not a party boat. Two, we had a smaller boat with less people, number 3, we were the only Aussies! Our last boat had 31 people with 25 of them from Australia. It was a refreshing change! We needed this time to unwind from constant ...

... Ramadan when we arrived back in Istanbul. There were so so many stalls within the grand bazaar all trying to sell you there products for the lowest price. ... we headed to St. Nicolas Island. Another reported sanctuary for Santa Clause. We had the option to go up and watch the sunset from the top, but the sister and I plus a few others stayed behind. Kofte, Turkish Meatballs, were up for dinner. I sat and wrote postcards and talked to Umut, while the sun was setting and he was tending to the BBQ.

Again, he told me that he wanted me to come and sit with him under the moon and stars. At this I smiled, as the dinner bell ...

What beach??

A travel blog entry by graham_inwood on Sep 24, 2010

Well well, we are moving on from the dreadful Marmaris leaving the English and loud music behind. We caught a bus to Fethiye about 3 hours further down the coast, the scenery was amazing pine covered mountains going down to the sea. The buses are excellent, TV in the backs of the seats, Graham watched Quantum of Solace in Turkish, we also had waiter service with free tea /coffee/biscuits. We arrived in Fethiye at the ...
