This morning started off like a struggle, like most mornings of my life. I woke up before my alarm but couldn't find the motivation to get out of bed. 13th August We left Lausanne, and headed for an unsuccessful wine tasting excursion through the UNESCO listed Lavaux wine region, which runs parallel to Lake Geneva ... everything seemed to be closed. 6th August We were early away this morning and went into Schaffhausen; a nice enough town with some really nice frescoes on a few buildings, along with some nice squares and ornate fountains. We then took a drive into Germany, and through Klettgau, looking for some wineries, but couldn't track them down, so we headed back into Switzerland, and down towards Altdorf, which lies at the bottom of Lake Lucerne.
