... home from the mall. So whatever I buy, I have to carry all the way back. It's weird because there isn't a parking lot by the mall. There is a parking area like 5-10 minutes from the mall. There just isn't enough room by the mall to put in a parking lot. It's almost like in the center of the little shopping area. I can't imagine trying to drive and find a place to park in this city. That would drive me insane.
... It's sad, but I know I was like that and I am embarrassed by that fact. I only heard her laugh after it happened. Like really? Go clean it up.
During my linguistics class today we heard screaming and running around. Apparently there were a bunch of students chanting in the building and then they took it outside. I think my professor said something about they were from the cinema school. I don't even know if that's ...
... I'm already running out of socks again. I looked at buying socks here and they are all really expensive and I don't quite understand why. There were like 11 euros for 2 pairs or some were like 7 euros for one pair. Like why are they so expensive? Apparently France wants me to go without socks and have really stinky feet all the time.
Well, so I told mom that I wouldn't skip any classes this week and that failed...because my class moved time and room ...
... so it's alright.
Ruby and I have decided to speak to each other in French from now on unless it is an emergency, which is better. After class I feel like my French is just fantastic, even though it isn't. It's good that we will be speaking French because sometimes I forget that I am in France when so much around me is English.
Hopefully I'll be getting a phone soon. I was going to go tomorrow, but tomorrow ...
13th August We left Lausanne, and headed for an unsuccessful wine tasting excursion through the UNESCO listed Lavaux wine region, which runs parallel to Lake Geneva ... everything seemed to be closed.
