After my failed attempt at getting books from the library, I went to get my social security. I've only been in France for a month without it, no big deal. Good thing I got it today because it starts on the beginning of the month. So if I would have gone to get it tomorrow, I would have had to wait until November to have it start, and then it would be just pointless to have. ...

... honey/lemon taste to it. It is supposed to be good for a sore throat. It reminds me of this similar hard fruity candy that my Intro to Foreign Languages teacher back in Middle School made for us. She was from France as well. Back then, I would've never imagined that I would one day live in France. Makes me wish I took a few more french courses.

13th August We left Lausanne, and headed for an unsuccessful wine tasting excursion through the UNESCO listed Lavaux wine region, which runs parallel to Lake Geneva ... everything seemed to be closed. We did manage to have lunch, overlooking the lake, in Cully. A really beautiful part of the World, as the whole area, with its views to the lake, and across to France. So many stunning views ...
