... challenging for myself but I gave it a good go. The tea itself was rather bitter and not one I would choose, but the whole process of making the tea was fascinating. The tea is made and the cups are filled, it is then customary to pour this first cup away all over the table which has slots and a tray underneath to catch the hot water. From here another brew of tea is made as the tea leaves are still in the pot. There is no 3 minute brewing rule, the hot water is added and ...

Today Ebony and I woke after a solid 5 hours of sleep. We readied ourselves and came downstairs for breakfast. We both ate way too much at the delicious buffet breakfast. City and line them up, they'll make a line around the world once." ...

No rest for the wicked; after the forum we attended a site tour and dinner hosted by Conrad Beijing. The hotel is brand new, having just opened two months ago. It provided quite a contrast to Shangri-La China World’s traditional architecture and styling. The Conrad is sleek and ...

So today's first stop was Tiananmen Square. As we know from the Simpson's nothing happened here in 1989. Our very entertaining tour manager Stone, said they we can openly talk about it on the bus, but if anyone talks about it there, then Stone will mysteriously disappear. Anyway, the amount of people here is overwhelming. People are waiting a few hours just to get a twenty second glimpse of the open casket of Mao. Then the short walk to the Forbidden City. ...
