    ... 8217;s not unusual for people to take a tumble from time to time.

    We took an expensive trolley bus into Beijing shopping district for lunch. The roads were broad, and the shops modern. We dined on McDonald’s and caught the many subway trains and the 888 bus back to the Beijing Roasting Duck restaurant for dinner.

    I think we were all glad to fall into bed after all the walking..

    After looking around the temple, we went out to have drinks at a cafe. Here in Beijing, many homes, businesses, stores, and restaurants are in alleys, which are called hutongs. We passed many shops selling pretty much the same thing (but no postcards :( ) and eventually sat down in a narrow alley at a restaurant called El Nido.     We saw the library for American students and it was stunning. All the furniture are antiques.
