    ... was quite spectacular.

    Although Jo (and some other reviews) suggested we would not like the Grand Noble Hotel as much as the hotel in Beijing, it was actually very nice and quite a grand hotel. We got checked in quickly and Brennan went straight to bed. Dave walked down the street and found our first bottle of Chinese wine. It was not very good, but at least it was wine and not beer!

The Chinese people we met think that this is ridiculous... rebuilding it like the original is expensive and will need fixing again in the future. The Chinese way is rather different. They start by taking pictures of what is left of the site, then bulldoze it to the ground and replace it with a steel and concrete replica roughly painted to look like the original.     ... shower then out to a Kung Fu ballet, which is pretty cool story about the origin of Kung Fu and a monk called Chun Yi. (google it) and finally to a 3 story restaurant which specializes in Peking Duck, honesty the duck was good but not what I'd call a 5 star dining experience. Nuff said.     Since then, Huizhong has returned to Beijing with her husband and two children, and is part of a team of educators creating an "out of the box" school on about 30 acres on the outskirts of Beijing in the District of Chang Ping. The private RiRi Xin School is currently pre-k to 6th grade, but plans to at some point provide education through high school.
