      ... We aren't sure if it was the stress of the morning drive mixed with how hungry we were, or if everything was really that good, but trust us when we say we NEEDED that food. Pasta Piatti is HIGHLY recommended if you are ever checking out the area.

      Tomorrow, the weather is slated to improve throughout the region. We are planning to make it to Vancouver, WA, but as we have seen with the past two days- it all depends on what Mother Nature has up her sleeve.

      ... and an abundance of wildflowers. Did I ever mention thus far how huge the dandelions are? We reached the peak where we could see many mountains in the distance, including Mt Shasta (we think as it was obscured in smoke), downtown Ashland and the buildings near the condo, Emigrant lake, and two families of deer (mom with babies).       The tour was nice, very thorough, but long! It took nearly 3 hours! My back hurt, everyone was getting hungry, and Matsu passed out. The tour showed us the beauty of the lake that we hasn't had a chance to see yet, and the boat launch by the dam where you could float all the way back to camp.

      We got home and had a snack to replenish after such a long time in the tour guide's minivan. Everyone got on their swimming gear and I dropped the four ...
