All these classes were interesting and fun. We also got many chances to interact with students from other countries while doing the assignments and working in class. We watched as ducks scavenged for bread from tourists and almost got pulled into the waterway leading from river to lake. You can see all the way to the bottom of the river, so we could see the chilly fish swimming there too. The bus ride from Thun to Interlaken was an hour, but it was breathtaking! ...

... a proper reason that hiking is so popular. They may sweat and swear as much as anyone going up, but by the time they get back down again, well, they aren't remembering too much of those previous trials, and they certainly aren't feeling any pain. In fact, it's safe to say that a really good day is had by all. And if the Swiss fondness for combining hiking and drinking doesn't convince you about the wonderfulness of the great outdoors, never fear, there's more ...
