The journey that was - the exhaust (muffler thing) fell off our car before I headed to Joliette to get the boys and girl coming on the journey to Toronto and Niagara falls, so every noise the car was making seemed to be amplified x100. Going Home
... back to Charles DeGaulle. As per usual I caught the wrong train to get to the RER. I seem to always read the signs backwards in unfamiliar cities. Somehow I got to the Metro and managed to get on the wrong platform which was heading in the wrong direction. Once I figured that out I had to hop off at the next stop and catch the train going in the other direction. Once I got going in the right direction I knew it was going to be smooth sailing. ...

By the third round of questioning, I was really starting to get annoyed, but lucky the third guy let me through without going through all my checked bags, though this was after going through my backpack and finding nothing of interest. This was definitely the worst, most unfriendly border experience I have ever had in my life and I have gone through many airports, including Heathrow.
