... explored Santa Monica a little. There is a promenade two /three blocks from where we stayed. We checked out a few stores, including out Nordstorm, Bloomingales and Sears. Nordstorm and Bloomingdales felt like Myer/DJs whereas Sears seemed like a Big W to us. Other stores were very similar to what we have in Oz.

The Big Hole and a Slow Drive
... with the requisite Oohs, and Ahhs from the passengers. The flight lasted about 45 minutes and we had a smooth landing at the airport. From there a 100 meter shuttle took us to the helipads where about 5 helicopters were ferrying people to different places in the canyon.
Again seat allocation was pre-ordained and this time Fiona and Luke got to sit up front. There was glass all round for great views as well as in the roof. We got to cruise in below ...
Day 11 ... We are back in LA!
... irgendwie die nächsten 3 Tage mit ziemlich wenig Geld durch kommen, bis wir eben wieder Geld erhalten. Wir schaffen das eben wie wir alles andere auch :-). Wir haben aber doch die letzte Nacht in einem Motel geschlafen, weil wir für einen Tag länger in LA bleiben um zu den Universall Studios zu gehen.
