We slept in today and were lazing around in the morning before heading into Paris. We went for walks through Parisian alleys, had crepes and went to see a photography exhibition showcasing nature in French colonies. We then ventured to La Marais, a labyrinth of cobblestone alleys to check out the chic designs and shops in this high class area. It feels very Soho-ish. We stopped for Lebanese food and we noticed ...

... on their televisions, so it was so perfect. And yet again our waiter loved us. After our drinks we embarked for home...we considered stopping at one of the clubs along the road, such as our personal favorite "unisex" but we were so exhausted, and our beds looked so comfy, then we decided to call it a night instead.

Day 8 - Versailles

... train. The sky is a smooth solid grey. There has been talk of rain today, so we've brought our rain coats. Perhaps the threat of rain will keep the crowds down. Our train stop is "Chateau Versailles" so there's not a lot of map looking or station counting and it's an easy ride.

The serenity was from the impressionist school, but the color was reminiscent more of the eastern arts than the western ones. The composition of the plant at the top and the child at the bottom, with a lot of "empty" space around them was eastern.

Our first full day in Paris. A slow start and out the door at about 9.30am. We jumped the Metro for the first time from St Placide after a wander down Rue de Rennes. Many cafe's and restaurants. One we will head back to later tonight for dinner. We got off at St Lazare (near Palais Garnier - Huge grand Opera House) to pick up the Paris ...
