As we went to Kaunas, having stopped for fuel, and having chatted to both Andrei and Dimitri, it looked like were going to have fun.
It rained really hard while we stopped at the gas station, and we decided it probably was best we visited during the summer.
We got to Kaunas and the sun decided to come out, we seemed to have lost our personal black ...

Decided to have a change from public transport and rent a car to see what's outside of the city. John fancied a drive in a little Fiat 500- tho' think he later regretted this decision, lol. We have been surprised how flat the country is, with some small farms but little going on. ... for Lithuania.

Our restaurant was on the town square. It had not a/c but it was fine for the first half, getting pretty warm until staff opened the windows. Had a local unfiltered beer. It was fine, having that odd taste with the process. Tried another zepellin, this time one with pork crackling as a side dish. Two large taters was a meal.

Do all English have a sweet tooth, Guru? Most had dessert--pudding or afters, terms ...

... last night. We'd all decided as a group that with the competition coming up we should spend a bit of time doing extra rehearsals beyond the concerts we were doing. So, early morning rehearsal for us in the conference room. Again, it's hard to be energized enough and warmed up enough for a morning sing.

Fortunately, we were given a bit of 'free time' after the rehearsal ...

We headed back for the bus, stopping for an ice cream as we had 20 minutes before it was due. An unnumbered bus appeared right on time but after the locals decided not to get on, we followed suit and sat waiting, assuming it was running slightly late.
