... of £50/day (inc fuel) to allow us to travel for the next 6 months.
So, this flash place was not for us. We decided to continue forth up the road 15 min to a "Caravan Park"... quite literally a cow paddock where you could park your van. But a £3 the price was right and we were tired and could not be bothered searching any further.
Atleast there was a place ...

Well here we are at a very nice site, all singing and dancing. Our own water and waste and TV point.

Well not a lot yet to report on Newton Abbot we are just chilling out a bit.
Cycled into Newton Abbot today to have a look in the shops, same shops ...
Well a bit behind with the blog due to no connection so here is a quick update.
We booked into Middlewick farm for a few days before going to Dad's and Mo's for a few days whilst "No Fixed Abode" was away being fitted with a tow bar.
The farm site was very quiet and relaxing, full of sweet smells of dung and pig poop!!!!
Truck dog Poppy thought it was great fun chasing the chickens!!
Hope you like the vid and pics.
... bureau and bought some souvenirs and then at a form shop for lunch.
Wound our way through one lane lanes to eventually get the through Torrington and follow the river down to Bideford.
Decided to stay with Lona's brother John instead of the usual Aunt Rose accommodation, she's not happy but will get over it. Yesterday was Bideford Regatta so we spent the morning on the quay ...
... the ocean for dinner.
It was an easy choice considering our location, fish & chips!!
Today Friday has dawned another beautiful day for our drive across Dartmoor to Bideford where Lona grew up to catch up with her brother and numerous cousins etc. We are told it is Regatta Weekend so the joint should be jumping.
Well not a lot we can say here really. The site here is very quiet ************e here don't know why but they have reduced their prices to encourage people to come. It is very nice clean and tidy and the people are helpful. The countryside is beautiful around the are and the site runs along side the river.
No photo's I'm afraid as we have been here there and everywhere the last couple of days catching up on things and today looking for a trailer............... and still ...
... 2 of the group were caught but only because of me, not because of the security guards.
Another of the boys who managed to get away then entered the club the following night and had the cheek to ask me how my boys were as i passed him, sat at a table with his friends. Security have told me that they do not have cctv on site so apart from the 2 that were arrested finally, the others have got away ...
We arrived at Witheridge to spend some time with dad a Mo and collect the truck dog poppy! She had spent the week with them as it might have been too much excitement for her in Dorset.
We even got to sleep in the house in a real bed and have a BATH!! No we ...
... spectacular. The only downside was the uncertainty over the van, but at last we got the call on Wednesday to say it was ready and we finally got the keys at 7pm. We'd postponed our original ferry from Roscoff, 800 miles away, but we were still going to be cutting it fine to make the new time - 2pm the following day. Now, 800 miles doesn't sound too bad if you have to make the journey in a normal car. But Alice is not normal and even going flat out it took us 17 hours to get there ...
