... the seats and by the door.
Arriving at the other station, our bikes and bags were quickly whisked away by the multitude of workers and stashed under the bus without a word of a 'problem' whatsoever!
We were quickly seated in comfy chairs and served hot tea by a waiter in a bow tie and vest! Bus service takes on a whole new dimension here!
As we drove along I started to get an inkling as ...
... back in time. Shopping for food is done by road-side stand: honey, olives, mandarins, gourds, and other fruits and vegetables that are locally grown. I think that the oranges i bought were picked that morning. Then the man brings his crate or two to the corner to sell during the day. I got about a dozen oranges for 1 TL and the price was calculated with an old scale with ...
Milas, Turkish Aegean Coast, Turkey 2totangoDespite whiplash, bunnies and 2 real *****es we are again back on Tiercel and in the Aegean Sea. This is an opportunity for a 4 week break to work on the boat and enjoy some sailing. However, it is possibly worth a brief look back at our last few weeks in Scotland to set the scene for our journey.
Our trip here started in a wet, cold and windy Tarbert. We travelled to a wetter, colder and windier Dunfermline to leave our car with our son Will. Shortly ...

What a wonderful lunch!
Back in Bodrum to experience a little bit of night life. While walking the streets of the city, I could hear dance music in the distance. I looked in the direction and saw flickering lights as well. This was a great outdoor night club called Halikarnas based on the ancient mausoleum Halicarnasos. Music was loud and on stage a Turkish male belly dancer.
What a nice day to spend in Bodrum Turkey.
... a steal! Or so we thought. We boarded the ship, stored our luggage, and went to the top deck to enjoy the view. After everyone was on the boat, the crew came around yelling at us to get off the boat. "Leave your stuff, everyone off the boat!" We were very confused, but listened to what they said and got off the boat. After everyone was off, the boat pulled away from the dock. We thought we paid 15 euros for them to take us to Turkey, not steal all our belongings. We had all our ...
Bodrum, Muğla Province, Turkey kickthrough... it is just that I can be myself a little more when I'm abroad. Possibly both, possibly something else completely but with all this time to think I'm almost looking forward to settling down, making a commitment and giving love, and eventually family, a chance. Hope springs eternal - woohoo! Life - after meeting, getting to know and having fun with a lot of people along the way it is a shame so few make an effort to keep in contact afterwards. One of the main points of the ...
