We had paid 250 Durham EACH for the camel ride, and they still begged us for more - not only that, but they led us in to their family's market where we were obligated to buy from them. Part of the problem is that you really can't slow down while you're walking through or you'll get hit in the back by an impatient shopper or pulled into a stall by an overzealous shopkeeper.
