... It is a bright, hot, colourful, noisy welcome to Phi Phi. We pay our 20 baht each which is an environmental tax used to keep the island clean and we are allowed ashore. We have our accommodation booked, but there are no roads on the island so we have to find our hotel. Fortunately the touts are really helpful and tell us that our hotel is affiliated with the big one just ahead and will be able to guide us. Result. We get there and sure enough we are soon ...

There's a reasonable amount of restaurants about, but it could no way be described as crowded, and was very pleasant to chill out in.
