Koh Phanghan is pretty much a party island for tourists we found on the run up to the full moon party. The main Haad Rin beach where it's held was full of sun bathers in the day and party goers at night. Paige got completely burnt the first day and Tash burnt her knees, but we did get a lovely tan under the hot sun! Absolutely no need for sun oils, the suns heat was so hot, even Tash had to put on a 50 factor! The waters were lovely and warm and the coastline ...

... the middle of the exam and at the end you mark your own paper so could just give yourself 100% if you wanted to! We have 2 dives tomorrow which are 18 metre dives so we should see some bigger fish and possibly some rays if we're lucky! Also, for you that don't know, as a result of all the recent ...

... along with many more. At one point this week, I heard Garyn say she wasn't ever going to dive, she wouldn't be able to put the equipment on by herself, she wouldn't dive again after our course, she wouldn't dive with an instructor other than Sam who ran our course, and she wouldn't dive beyond 18 metres. She's actually done all of these things and done them all very well! Other than Jo showing us the way on our dives today, we basically ...

Not just one, but both air con systems had malfunctioned in the night. This meant we woke in our own sweaty little pool party just without the bubbling Changs and loud dance music. Instead the only audible noise was our ranting regarding the unacceptable conditions in which we'd been forced to sleep. I guess it was lucky we were sufficiently intoxicated not to notice until mid-morning. Em, boasting ...

    Day 146

Got up a few times in the night as the air con kept on going to cold (for a change) but eventually got up and checked out of the hotel as we were getting picked up at 8:30 in another minivan to take us across the mainland to Koh Phangan. Couldn't wait to sit on a bus half the day and a boat for a few hours! The bus turned up late at 9, then we headed off to another stop which was where we changed buses (this one barely had any room in it!) We sat in the front which ...
