Took a ride in the back of a truck to Chalock beach, which is a side beach and a little bit more relaxed than the main pier town. This was my first island experience in 2007 and it was good to be back. My though, it has grown. Used to be just 1 main road, a sleepy windy road. Now it's all businesses and shops all the way to the resort, and even ...

We managed a fair 4am finish, but we knew there was no way we could all hold out for sunrise, especially not when we had the lovely quiet Cookies resort to get back to!

The next day was a lazy hungover poolside morning and afternoon, recovering with sugary fruity shakes making the most of the resort as we were off to Koh Tao the following ...

... been a fish in water this was easy for me, but for some reason equalizing my ears was a challenge. Otherwise our four dives were incredible and I was hooked. So with having the birthday money and getting a discount for continuing on I booked my advanced course. Advanced allows you to dive to 30m instead of just 18m and gives you more specialized types of dives. The advanced course was another two days and five more dives. Navigation, peak performance buoyancy, deep, wreck and ...
