Do as the Romans do

... of days here they're going back to Bangkok with us, for a third time! Everyone has come to Tao to chill out after the Full Moon, so we spent over an hour walking around with our rucksacks trying to find a room. Everywhere was full. The staff at Wind Resort remembered us and are letting us sleep in their maggase parlour with 10 other people for B100 = 2 quid!<br> Have been keeping a journal with everything I've collected, drawings, a diary...

Bangkok Post writer gives the thumbs up!

... This field trip was the first entry into the world of live classroom English for some trainees. It was how they lost their teaching virginity. Fifty Bangkok Air employees studied at this language seminar, whom we broke into two smaller groups. The employees needed to develop practical English skills to communicate with tourists. This teaching style involved the audio-linguistic approach combined with communicative language teaching techniques. We practiced a specific pattern of ...

Full Moon Party

... to mainland. We all crashed on the ferry to Surat Thani. When we arrived on land, there was a bus waiting to take us to the airport. We got back to Bangkok by mid afternoon. It is really nice to be home and have most of the afternoon to unpack, catch up, and relax, especially when I have work the next day. 3 more weeks of school...I know I've said it before, but I can't believe how fast this school year has gone.

... in the end anyway - a gorgeous brown-red dog (who I named Jessie) who led us the whole way :) The view from the top was gorgeous... it's a shame really because it wasn't the clearest day - that made it great for keeping us cool, but rubbish for providing a good view... it was still totally worth the climb though :) That night Ryan cooked us a lush Thai curry... unfortunately Tom wasn't feeling well, and he felt ...

Full Moon Party

... that if I'd picked my feet up, I'd have been carried by the crowd. Needless to say we were the last ones on the boat (and very thankful for it). Hattie didn't enjoy the boat ride back any more so than any of the others, and we were both very happy to get back to the hotel room. We were up in time for breakfast and there were a few people there who looked like they hadn't been to sleep yet. It was like zombie feeding time.

... raves in the world that takes place on the beaches of the near island Koh Pagnan. DJ's pump out music from the early afternoon until the sun rises the next day. We met 2 awesome gals from Australia that day and took speed boat taxi to the island with them that night to experience the madness. We had a great time and (FYI mom and dad, made good decisions ;) We also met many other travelers. This area is all built around tourism. You ...

Koh Samui and Koh Phangan

... the bungalows before when she was on holiday to Koh Samui last year. They were very basic, but so cute! And only 200 baht a night (£3)! Me and Alison checked into one, a tiny thing made of wood. The bed was built up to a normal level but if you looked through the slats in the wood you could see the ground below. The toilet and shower was very basic, there was no sink and the toilet didn't flush, you have to poor water down it. It had a little porch out the front, with a hammock ...

... and her mozi bites etc. She brought Carol over some magic green cream kinda like tiger balm and rubbed it all over her bites. Then as we were chatting she came back again and broke off a branch of Aloe Vera and as we sat chatting the woman put fresh aloe vera all over carols sunburn! We bought the green stuff off her and it did help. She was a nice lady. Ko Samui is probably one of the more expensive islands as the girls went ...
