... language school in 1991 and later received its accreditation from Thailand’s Ministry of Education. In 1998, TEFL International was established as a Trinity TESOL certificate course (but, its accreditation is no longer through Trinity today). The origins of the first TEFL certificate, in itself, is difficult to track down since there isn’t a single entity that moderates over all certificate distribution. There are so many branches in the TEFL family tree that you might ...
Amphoe Ko Samui, Surat Thani, Thailand teflworld... bonus was they gave us a free cheeseburger too. 5 burgers in one sitting! Good times! After lunch our first stop was the Grandfather and Grandmother rocks, which are basically rock formations of the genital area definetly worth a google as my camera still wont let me upload, i am workin on it though. After we had seen these we headed of to some waterfalls, first we visited one on a way up the steep hill and got off, it wasnt all that spectacular but was ...
Chaweng, Ko Samui, Thailand sitwed... is selling fake raybans and backpacker attire. Lots of restaurants and bars.... we didn't eat at many restaurants but opted for the cheaper street vendors. The beach that the full moon party happens on is a sea of sunworshippers during the day.......and multiple sound systems from the bars lining the beach compete. Not exactly relaxing..... but worth seeing! We managed to keep busy for the week...... this involved alto of fruit shake drinking, noodle eating ...
Ko Phangan, Thailand heatherlindsay... and memorable trip. The kitchen staff back at our resort have now decided to provide me with my own large fly swatter for the huge flying beetles that occassionally drop by at supper time....this works better than them all watching me run around the restaurant trying to flee...I like the feeling of being in control in this particular situation:) I need help. Kris and I rented a small motorbike today and drove to the main town about 20 minutes from our resort. Here we decided ...
Ko Phangan, Thailand deannekristin... puuhaa, niin laitan tosta linkin johonkin patkaan. Taa poi homma lahti oikeestaan itamaan siella Haad Rinin bilerannalla, sillon viimeks kun oltiin. Niinkun (voiks ton kirjottaa yhteen? Tuntuu paljon kivemmalta) varmaan monilla muillakin jotka noita palleroita pyorittaa, on lahteny. Oli se vaan niin hienon nakosta kun ammattimiehet heilutteli. Toballa sir duunasin maailman yksinkertasimmat poit tunkemalla sukkatollot toisten ...
Ko Pha Ngan, Thailand 11kaks... Although the Swami told us not to blindly believe anything they teach here but rather to see for ourselves, some of the teachings here are pretty dogmatic, which I seem to instantly reject. On the other hand, I'm also noticing the positive impact of the practice here; the pain I had in my right ankle since twisting it in Cambodia almost 10 months ago is completely gone. The swelling in my finger that I had for 7 months now is finally going down, and my upper spine is more flexible ...
koh Phangan, Thailand yorron... raves in the world that takes place on the beaches of the near island Koh Pagnan. DJ's pump out music from the early afternoon until the sun rises the next day. We met 2 awesome gals from Australia that day and took speed boat taxi to the island with them that night to experience the madness. We had a great time and (FYI mom and dad, made good decisions ;) We also met many other travelers. This area is all built around tourism. You ...
Chaweng, Ko Samui, Thailand sarahteveldal... and I, which involved lots of banana lassi's, we took a taxi back down to Haad Rin beach from the North. We treated ourselves to a cabin in a posh resort and enjoyed the sun (at last), sea, pool and sand. We hired a jeep on our last day in Koh Phagnan and explored the beaches on the East coast of the island. It was great to drive and have our own independance again - our jeep was called 'pop' and he enjoyed going over the bumpy roads almost as much as we did!
Ko Phangan, Thailand samandchantal... called The Sanctuary, where you can safely and intelligently do this sort of thing. Now you may ask why one would want to do this, and that is fair enough. Firstly no, it wasn't for religious reasons. Nor were we sick of the Thai food. It was basically just to give the body and digestive system a break and let it detox. Amy had done a similar thing a few years ago and found it very beneficial, and was keen to do another one. So even though I ...
Ko Phangan, Thailand graveday... and her mozi bites etc. She brought Carol over some magic green cream kinda like tiger balm and rubbed it all over her bites. Then as we were chatting she came back again and broke off a branch of Aloe Vera and as we sat chatting the woman put fresh aloe vera all over carols sunburn! We bought the green stuff off her and it did help. She was a nice lady. Ko Samui is probably one of the more expensive islands as the girls went ...
