Hello again Long time no hear from us hey!! We have actually been quite "busy" (well, as busy as it gets in Thailand)!! We went to a great place in Samui called "The Jungle Club". It's a restaurant and has little cabins and is virtually up a mountain! We were picked up in a jeep and went up this amazingly steep dirt track, then you get out and it's incredible....you can see the whole of Samui! We started off with cocktails in the infinity pool then had dinner in the outdoor restaurant where y...

... enjoy the view. As there was a major Thai kickboxing fight on that weekend the publicity car came down blaring out a recorded message advertisement - it was really annoying because it repeated each individual word twice. Finally, they returned with the boxers themselves in the back trying to drum up some interest - they looked really small and wiry. On the way back to our hotel we bought some boat tickets for the next day to go to the next island in the group, Ko Phangan.
Ko Samui, Thailand chris.cesca... the Full Moon party at around 11.30. Two liters of Sang Som later we all jumped into a pick-up truck and headed for the madness of Hat Rin.<br>The Full Moon party has it's fans and it's critics. Some say it brings out the worst in local people, some of whom see it as a way to cheat and steal from tourists. This is the case, for the unlucky few, but all in all it's a safe environment to party hard into the early hours of the morning. I took nothing of value with me, no ...
Ban Tai - Koh Pha Ngan, Surat Thani, Thailand thedidgeridude... at these guys. Now there are shops galore here....and its actually really quite here compared to the last time we were here. But the shop keeps are barely haggling, they don't seem to get it that less profit better than no profit....time will tell.... Well we are here and its time to relax....nothin planned lets see how it goes. Even went so far as to unpack our bags.....will it all fit again.... Sat on our deck for a while and chilled with a nice rum and coke....
ko samui, Thailand tyamkovy... Macho Boy...THE OVADA SHOW BAND RULE!!! Last night was ok too, nothing major but after some serious serious cajoling I managed to convince Kelly to get a cab to Chaweng and see Wolverine. Whilst the film isn't the best, seeing Gambit throw down was mint. And one thing I like about the cinema here is that they play the national anthem before the film and everyone stands up for it. I really dig how revered the royal family is here and think it's a shame that alot of ...
Koh Samui, Thailand therobsblogs... to be 'back-seat'drivers. It is good to see lots of different views of the island. Whilst there is lots of gorgeous scenery, there are also lots of places where you can see it's not all just about sun and tourism. We were armed with a tourists map of Samui which gives us clues as to where the interesting temples etc are situated. We decide to find the 8-headed coconut tree, but after driving along the road where it was signed, give up - but it's ...
Samui, Thailand mel07pink... here. On my last full day, I was chilling out on the beach in Ruby's hammock when a magic spliff appeared with Chris. A few beers later and the tone for the afternoon was set. I sat down with a Swedish family for a few drinks and a late lunch. The father is an ERP consultant like I was in my past life so we had a lot to talk about. Our lives took very different turns somewhere along the way. He started working with ERPs the year I retired and somehow he had the time to have a beautiful ...
Ko Samui, Thailand planetvale... the feeling of homelessness is a comforting thought, the idea of the simple ways to fill a day, of reading, thinking, writing, all a joy to anticipate. We still search for the true peacefulness of a Thailand rather than the pre-prepared tourist destinations that seem to abound. Perhaps a dream, no doubt we will compromise, the future of our time here is still never ending!
Ko Samui, Thailand warhoo... may drive wherever you please. Traffic slowing you down? No problem! If you can't weave through them, then you can drive around them. Refer to rule #3 when you begin to worry if they are ever going to weave back into the left lane. Rule #6 - Age restricitons are for people that are scared of letting kids have fun. In thailand if you can hold the scooter up, then why not go for a spin? Hell! Take your two 5 year old brothers with you and triple on one scooter... then when ...
