... that at this time of night, the only thing we could do for them was to buy them some food, so we found a market and bought them apples, bananas, and a yogurt drink which they loved! They were cute, happy and grateful. Probably the cutest thing we saw was that they actually offered their bananas to two small children who were looking on, but who were not street kids. <br><br>The four street kids worked to bring recyclables back to industries here ...

Soon it was time to leave so we swallowed a few tears and jumped on the van to Chiang Mai. When we arrived, we found a great hotel for $16 a night Called the Na Inn. Really clean and modern...I highly recommend it! We showered and ran to meet the other volunteers for dinner. We had a nice meal and a drink and were off to bed completely wiped out!!

... a few hours at the zoo we were both exhausted and caught a bus back towards our hotel. Later on we went to the night market for dinner. We try to eat at markets whenever we can to keep costs down. We can usually get dinner including drinks for $2 or less. The night market in Chiang Mai is one of the best we have been to in terms of food because they have just about everything and it is really cheap.
