    ... eh? Ying was very helpful. She suggested we go to the Oboto (the government administrative office for Koh Lanta) and ask for a free blue barrel. Ying was pretty sure someone there would speak English, and that they could tell us where we could put our blue barrel.

    We assured Ying that we were more than willing to buy our own blue barrel, but might need help finding the ideal location close to our home. Ying quickly offered an alternative solution. ...

    So goes the long slow process of reintegration! Ha! Of course I would get this only after having left all my peers, family, friends, relatively gainful self employment, comfortable home and be just over fifty, alone in a villa on the deserted side of a tropical island!     After I finished my unusual bath with elephants (there were actually two of them) we went for lunch to a local restaurant where we paid BHT 60 for the main dish and BHT for a delicious shake.     ... a hostel that's supposed to be really nice, with a lot of people and a big garden where always some of the guests hang around. The hostel is 5 min outside the center and people on the way were already greeting me (everyone using this road is guest of that hostel).
