... to save us a whopping 60p (God help me) we climbed onboard a motorbike taxi to take us back. Although I think they were annoyed at us as the driver happily stopped at a petrol station to fill up and another passenger joined us for the ride. At our hotel most of the night was spent smearing green blobs of aloe vera on ourselves and then lying stickily on the bed, dreaming wistfully of ...

After a lazy start we brunched at midday in the restaurant by the pool which is offering 20% off everything as it's now low season. How cool – we had to have it! So we decided to leave the immediate proximity of the beach and move a little more mainland, and a little further south on the island for some peace and quiet and our own little sanctuary for a week.

And so here we are, all shacked up in ...

... harder then I thought it would be. I'm a confident swimmer but when you have to swim through a cave in a line behind people in the dark (the only light was the guides torch) through slightly rough sea anyone would have a hard time. Lush and green trees are all around the walls which are tall and since there is no roof its like being in a hidden paradise. Walking on the white clean sandy beach and swimming in the emerald colored sea was like being in paradise! It was ...
