When we got back to the Hotel, I told Ross that I thought that he and Nicky should have some time to themselves and I was quite capable of looking after myself for the evening. Mosquitoes, Manti and Muay Thai

There was a rather pleasant mould growth in the corner of the room, the light may as well not have been there and I could see tiny bugs on the bed sheets, to put it mildly it wasn't great. Our new bungalow was further up the hill too so there was a higher risk of mosquitoes, I quickly made Elliot hang the mosquito net. At least we hadn't wasted our money on that. The Last Beach Hurrah

We wait a bit and he eagerly rushes me over to a minibus that fills up before I get there. A little corner of paradise
... show and lazy mornings in bed. We did rent a scooter and go off roading in the little dirt roads of the island. Managed to make our way right down to the most southerly point on the island and see a massive lizard on one of our outings, which was awesome!!

I got chatting to a few of the staff at the bars and it occured to me that the majority of the lads working here were Khmer and not Thai; they had crossed the border in hope of a better paid job and now filled the beaches of Ko Samet! That made the language really confusing after a while since I'd spent a lot of time trying to get to grips with Thai and forget the Cambodian that I'd learnt ...
