... and then went for a 3 km jungle trek. We both got a bit freaked out by all the bugs and specially the spider webs that we kept walking in to. Some spiders with bright colors you really don't want in your face! We couldn't finish the trek as a fallen tree was blocking the last bit so we turned around and just as we did the sky turned black and when I heard the first thunder I wasn't long running out of there! I honestly hate thunder and lightning so ...

After walking through the stone exhibits and attractively kept gardens, we reached the first large crocodile pit, which boasted some huge beasts in and around a dingy looking pool. I paid 80 Baht (about 1.80) for a large wooden rod, already primed with half a raw chicken which I dangled into the murky pool below. I was expecting a ferocious fight for the meat but as it was ...

... also. On Father's Day we visited another temple. This famous Wat is at the base of the mountain and going there is very good luck, especially on the holiday of The King's Birthday. The family prayed at the Buddha shrines. Donations were made, and afterwards, there was a special audience with a Monk. The Monk bestowed a blessing on baby Terran and tied a lucky white string around his wrist. Then, Aor's mother tied a yarn bracelet the color of a monk's robe on each of ...
