... back to Playa Del Carmen, I slept almost the whole bus trip! I went out for dinner at the La Cueva del Chango in Del Carmen which is a nice Mexican restaurant, it was absolutely scrumptious, fantastic Mexican flavours throughout every dish, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to get a taste of native Mexican flavours, way better then any Mexican I've ever had! Aside from the cool reefs and wonderful dinner, it was a terrible terrible day. I tried to lay low Tuesday, as my ears were bothering me after the shore dive. To my surprise, Liya, whom I met at Vive La Vida, showed up. We were shocked to see each other so randomly. We hung out for the evening, and rented a VW Bug for ...

... the beach. The driver turned around to hand Paul mysterious envelopes to give to Laurent. Chance pick up or big brother anomaly? Who cares.. more tequila anyone? Half of the Mayakoba resides on water canals rife with wildlife. In the short ride from reception to the room we saw yellow bellied birds, turtles, an array of birds and crocodiles (ok Paul & Laurent saw the crocodiles but I saw the picture). Its exquisite. Truly. The palatial sized ...
