Excellent hotel, didn't expect such a good standard from Best Western if I'm honest, but it is a Plus type; breakfast was good, rooms lovely, beds comfy, staff friendly, and the wireless internet was excellent. Laundry was available downstairs too, $9 for a load including washing, drying, and detergent.

During this event, some guests tried to leave the dorm, but they their dorm door was ...

That evening at 9pm, we were back at Parliament Hill for the free nightly lightshow conducted throughout the Summer.

... the traffic was very busy towards Toronto, then we took the 427 and 401. We had a last glimpse of Lake Ontario just past Bowmanville. It was farming country heading towards Peterborough. The roads became quieter and we even saw some pockets of snow by the road. We then took Highway 7. There are many lakes in this area, Silver Lake was still covered with thin ice, and it was 17degrees. Spring just arrived this last week. People are now in shorts and the ladies in open sandals.
