We caught up with our laundry and then went to bed at 7:00, that is way past brontes usual bed time. i was woken up at 2AM by a group of young people yelling and screaming it sounded like they were playing football above our heads. I thought i had imagined it but Bronte told me she heard it too.

Cinq minutes après s'être stationné...il commence à pleuvoir. Mais jusqu'à là, ca allait.
Apres un certain temps, je réalise qu'il a un Énorme nuage d'une couleur douteuse qui approche un peu trop rapidement. 30 secondes apres avoir fait le commentaire, gros tonnerre et ca commence à tomber et même à grêler....

Fait du séjour à St-Malo...

On a passé une bonne partie de la journée à se promener dans le Mont-St-Michel. C'est vraiment spécial comme endroit, isolé du monde, mini village au milieu de…et bien rien! La marée était basse lorsqu'on est allé mais il parait qu'elle peut monter aussi rapidement que le galop d'un cheval. Je me demande si c'est vrai :s Il faudrait bien que je vérifie!

Sunday we drove 2 hours to Bretagne (or Brittany) to Mont St. Michel. There is an abbey on top which began construction in the 700s. It's very old and medieval. There were a ton of steps we had to climb up, but once we got to the top, it was well worth it. The views were picturesque ...

Famed as one of the best preserved medieval towns in France or so says the Lonely Planet, the old town seemed like it had been swallowed by the new. We had our first crepe and enjoyed it as we wandered through the old cobbled stone streets which became more and more rewarding. ... s prices right now! Kim's Maison du Scooby came through with the goods again and produced a delicious Mussels Provincal and Oysters Kilpatrick for lunch. View was amazing as we parked at Pointe de Grouin and the blue waters of the Altantic shone in the background. The scenery around the Pointe reminded us a lot of Cornwall.

... 12 years old. Back at Scooby we watched the stars and bid goodnight to the glorious spot lit Mont.
Mist and cloud greeted us this morning and so our hopes of getting a few sunrise photos of the Mont were dashed. Morning also bought the hordes of tourists and opening of all the tacky tourist shops. The over commercialisation of this site was akin to turning on the ugly lights at the disco! The ambiance so different from last nights reconnaissance mission.

... nous allons dîner sur les rochers, derrière le Fort National. On y reste près de quatre heures, complètement zen, à regarder monter la marée, à s'asseoir et discuter, à faire des "rebounds" avec des roches dans l'eau. On monte sur les remparts de la vieille ville en approchant 16 heures ; on contemple encore un peu le paysage, puis on redescend dans les petites rues. On croise une crêperie ; on s'y arrête pour prendre un café, et une flambée au rhum ...
