Rose had a restless night's sleep as she was too hot, so she woke a little later at 730am. Took the car out to Piriac sur Mer today to explore the coastal area south east of Vannes. It didn't disappoint, nice old port and quaint coastal town. We stopped off for a lakeside walk in the village of Asserac on the way there, and coffee and a bit of shopping in Roche St Bernard on the way ...
... it is not as impressive, but like the aforementioned, it was created long before the dawn of the crane, and some of the stones are higher than I am tall. We also find a lake to walk the perimeter of and by the time we return to Ruby for a shower and an evening in with our boxset, we both agree it has been a lovely day.

The boys love being driven around in the VW UP - who wouldn't - plump cushion in the back to snooze on and big windows to look out of. We've walked miles with them, I don't think they know what's hit them! Lucky boys.
