I really wanted to spent at least one night here as I had built myself up to visiting while back home and I'm so glad we did. We arrived around lunch time and spent the afternoon wandering the streets and shopping, it is a beautiful town just like most in central France. I spend far too much shopping I think I am all shopped out now my bag ...

... from trees. Really not enough time to do justice to the gardens and we missed seeing an exhibition of drawings. Saw the areas he liked to sit and paint in; beautiful leafy glades set among giant pine trees. Back to camp, but we noticed the villages around here are so pretty, it would be great to have more time to walk around. We are lucky the crowds are all gone; nowhere is crowded or ...

... tell me that he really enjoyed it.

I managed to have a shower and struggled downstairs to meet E's daughter who'd popped over for lunch and say hello to JG before he went back to work.

Today was Ron's turn for a personal guided tour and E took Ron out to show him a little of the Loire Valley.

First stop was the old section of Tours, Place Plumereau where there were many old houses in Tudor style, the streets were narrow and ...
