Today we said good bye to our French hosts and head to Tour for the night. I really wanted to spent at least one night here as I had built myself up to visiting while back home and I'm so glad we did. We arrived around lunch time and spent the afternoon wandering the streets and shopping, it is a beautiful town just like most in central France. I spend far too much shopping I think I am all shopped out now my bag ...

Drove across more pretty county, more corn, sunflowers and grapes. Arrived at Tours. Booked our chateaux tour for tomorrow. Then went to find a campsite and have lunch. Set off for Amboise, where we went to Clos Lucé, a small chateau/country house built in 1590. It was given in 1516 by King Francis 1st to Leonardo Da Vinci. The latter spent his last 4 years there and died in 1519. ...

... floor. Bernie and the girls are down on level 3 while Nick, Brent and I are on level 7. The girls think that is pretty good! Tomorrow we hope to explore the oratory of the Holy face of Jesus. Am looking forward to that very much, mass is at 11:00 at the Basilique de Martin de Tours (or something like that) so looking forward to that also. Well it is 10:48pm for me on Saturday night (6:48am Sunday for you). Have a blessed Sunday with your families. I will ...
