    ... dinner at 6pm. Walked thru the Gothic Quarter and made our way to La Rambla. Left turn and wandered thru the throngs - clutching our bags and wallets.     Our time in Madiran was relaxed. We did trips to the local towns - although these were always closed because we would go between 11am and 3pm - walked parts of a pilgrim trail and relaxed at the house with bottles of wine in the sunshine. Bryan and Kate arrived back a few days later and we packed up our car in accordance with the PPP system and headed to Carcassonne where the adventure continues....

    ... however this bridge is actually one of the oldest in Toulouse with construction starting around 1544, but I guess it was new once.

    From Pont Neuf we were able to see Pont Saint-Michel, this bridge has an interesting history as there is a small island under it that was used to execute witches by tying them to trees as the river was rising and they would drown.
