... no people about so it was also very quiet and peaceful inside. You can't help feeling close to our Lord when in a place like this. As a doe longs for running streams, so longs my soul for you, my God. (Ps 42) Even after leaving the Cathedral we'd look back from different locations and marvel at its size and grandeur. Next we had a quick walk through the central covered fresh food markets but as we had only just consumed a substantial breakfast ...

Our weeks usually include classes from 10am to 5pm or sometimes 7pm. Usually we have a morning class, then a two hour break for lunch, followed by an afternoon class. ... even carnival rides! There's a stage and also a zoo! My favorite part was the most amazing garden I've ever seen, one full of over 1,000 roses. How beautiful is that?!! I am a HUGE fan of roses. Although white roses are my favorites, red roses always steal my heart. I hope I can see this garden blossom soon, although with the temperatures quickly dropping, I will be extremely lucky if I see one rose blossom by the time I have to return to the States.
