... of Place Stanislas. On the way to the marina, I stopped for an afternoon snack at the Place d'Alliance which is another UNESCO World Heritage site. The fountain was very beautiful, modeled after the ones in Piazza Navona, Rome. The marina itself seemed like a great place, however it wasn't very alive due to it not being tourist season. About seven of us from UCF received a work visa, so on Monday we have to go on a medical evaluation through the French Immigration system. Then we have another appointment on Thursday in order to get our visas validated.

... was nice to sit and bond with the girls, especially because Amy was the first to attempt to do laundry! Basically we didn’t know how to lock the lid or that we had to lock it manually so we all thought the machine was broken. Anyways it was quite the laugh and took twice as long as normal. They are also helping me to master my French, well superficially my catch phrase "Je ne parle pas français."

Today was another long day, 3 ...
... even carnival rides! There's a stage and also a zoo! My favorite part was the most amazing garden I've ever seen, one full of over 1,000 roses. How beautiful is that?!! I am a HUGE fan of roses. Although white roses are my favorites, red roses always steal my heart. I hope I can see this garden blossom soon, although with the temperatures quickly dropping, I will be extremely lucky if I see one rose blossom by the time I have to return to the States.
