... who had not woken up on the right side of the bed and was a little grumpy. While waiting for the 10:30 tour we went and looked through the Kings mint and coins. Heading back to the tour we went around different aspects of the tower including the chapel and several courtyards. The tour was fantastic, it was informative while also being quite humorous. We walked around small alley ways with the beautiful French decor and buildings admiring what we were seeing around each corner. It does remind us of a mini version of Paris.
As it is a bank holiday in France, the streets were quiet and most of the shops closed, much to Sophie's disappointment. We did find an indoor market with a few stalls opened and bought a baguette, ham, olives, quiche, tabouli for lunch then ...

Friday 27th – kids did a full day at school while
Mum and Dad packed for another weekend away, got a few groceries at Odysseum
and got Corban’s new rugby ball blown up.
After school Corban went for a haircut which was very flash. We then drove on to pick up our Lamb Curries
from Fou’d Anglaise a café/shop run by an English lady – it took a bit of time

... for work to attend. Was sat next to an old French man who was a bit of a perv, and didn't stop talking, even if it meant cutting other people's conversations! But still managed to speak to some new French people, including a 16 year old girl who speaks amazing English despite only learning it at school - very inspiring. Got back and found Gaëlle home (early for her!) and worried as she had sent me a text but ...
... returned, then did some more grammar exercises which Gaëlle corrected for me, then watched the news and saw a bit of the Cannes film festival. We ate outside (I was able to wear shorts for the first time today) and then moved inside to escape the cold to continue our conversations. Fred is really like Cath's Fred, constantly teasing me... I try and give what I get, but it's a bit hard ...
