... colours of the trees and the brilliant green of the grass was amazing.

E failed to get any lunch as we discovered that 11:11 is a bank holiday in France and everywhere was closed! So we arrived at the hotel at 5:00 pm and were starving! We checked in and the owner kindly provided us with pate and bread and a glass of red....perfect!

Today we explored a produce market and took a short cruise on the Saone River before finding a museum dedicated to the movie industry. There were many props in this place but by far the most engaging displays were ...

... scotch fillet in a while...hit the spot for 12 euros each.
A drink on a boat on the walk home was perfect to follow onto a very late night with Claire and Louis back at the apartment. We shared French and Australian music, learned more French (like the meaning of adure) and even played some Mario Kart. We got on so well that they opened up champagne, offered to take us around Lyon the next day and cook us dinner - Amazing!
