Parc des expositions - ZI de Kerpont, 145 rue Francois Dominique Arago Lanester, Brittany, France
Eddy, ayms friend who gave us a lift from st malo, invited us to a reggae dub festival about 200km away, but it rained all day fri and the forecast wasnt good for the rest of the weekend. So Fri went back to the pub we went to last time near eddies house, watched a great band, then i entertained the french and english couple with some beatles and oasis and so ...
After leaving at about midnight and some 400 miles driving we arrived here at about 7pm. Settled in and have done a bit of site seeing. The stone alignments at Carnac were amazing but Mike forgot to take his camera. We'll have to go back. Went to Quiberon and Pont Aven on Sunday and just like the Isle of Wight there was nowhere to park! Went back to Pont Aven today it was wonderful. Going walking along vallee de L'Isole tomorrow only 13 k. More later.
Mellac, Brittany, France mikeandsuecuff... fon. I spent much time drinking trying to work out what the hell anyone was talking about and making up my own stories about what they were talking about. I think in the end they will not remember me as the only time I really spoke to them was to when they
asked “All ok Brett?” Yes. “You want more beer” Yes. Actually some could speak very good english but were too shy to speak it. But, they were nice people ...
Isa Lei (the yacht) planned to enter the Belon c. 10:30 so we got to Kerfany beach early, watched them in and greeted them off the dinghy. Great to see them.
Followed them round to Belon port (opposite Chez Jacqui), with a little fish market, scruffy but charming. Pottered during the day with lunch on board then returned to the creperie for cotriade - a pre-ordered 7-fish stew drained ...
... without Judith and did another long haul past Vannes, Lorient, all our old stamping grounds. The first aire we tried was in dunes opposite Le Pouldu, very Sunday evening family resort with buzzy bar, tidal lake etc. Crowded but with space on the dunes for our chairs so we stayed.

Day 6
After a long night of red wine and chatting by the fire, we arose at a late hour and worried we wouldn't get to St Malo with enough time to explore. We first drove the 2.5 hours to Mont-St-Michel (where it promptly started raining) and had a look there first. The tidal ranges were phenomenal, as far as the eye could see was how far the tide went out. Then it sweeps back in "faster than a running ...
