      First stop on another big driving day was the historic fishing village of Camaret sur mer. A lovely drive on single lane roads passing through little settlements and villages with houses to the edge of the road and well kept houses with little to distinguish the historic from the old and modern.

      We arrived late after a big day of travel. A pretty town rising on both sides from a river with foot and road bridges every 50 meters.

      After our delicious lunch we ate light in an upstairs Creperie run by a Mother and son. Just the job, a carafe of wine and a savory and sweet crepe each.

      As we were walking about 100 or so runners with head lamps passed us, off on some nighttime endurance run I suspect. Completely mad!

      ... as a holiday resort, to other wind swept points with memorials to those lost at sea, the Cap de la Chevre, and walked around the quiet streets of Camaret admiring some of the artists galleries, and the church around the far side of the harbour past the skeletons of old fishing boats. On our last night we had mussels cooked in the most amazing sauces siting in one of the coloured houses lining the waterfront.
