Today was unexpectedly sunny! We woke with a hot sun streaming in through our window, and the pitter patter of last nights rain had disappeared without a trace. After walking down and getting some fresh croissants to have with our coffee and orange juice, we left to walk through the small city and then stroll around the river and the little lake, surrounded by trees and grass ad wildflowers. It was beautiful, the swans and geese glided by us and ...

... I put my elbows on the washer, pressed my cold hands into my face and just said, "God, please just help me, I need socks" and I guess I pressed my face too firmly, because suddenly, the washing machine made this clicking noise and it started working!!! I was so amazed!! Turns out the washing machines have these handles that must be pressed down in order for the door to lock. No wonder there was a button that said "press to unlock door when washer is in use." I had ...

... we started walking directly that way. Turns out, we walked too far because we found ourselves lost again. We began walking back and saw the red mailboxes inside the building; those were ours; that's how we were able to recognize our entrance.

We sat in the warmth of our apartments and drank some tea. Oh goodness, it was great to be home. I don't think I've ever missed Harlea so much or my umbrella. Moving abroad is difficult, especially when we don't know ...
