      Ending 2014

... Saint Emilion .... BEAUTIFUL! The town is full of gorgeous old buildings, narrow streets, vineyards and stunning chateaus. We explored at our own pace here, and sat down for a beautiful lunch right in the middle of the town, surrounded by the many of the old buildings. Will definitely be bringing our parents back here when they come over! Next trip was to the Great Dune du Pyla. Again, a 45 minute drive from Bordeaux, but heading towards the coast. The only thing ...

... rugby game, UBB vs Brives. The stadium was packed full of just under 29,000 people, people cheering and chanting, drums in the background. The atmosphere here was incredible, definitely a lot different to a ITM or Super Rugby game in New Zealand! UBB won the game 46-10! The fans are very devoted to their team here and the crowds are usually around the 28,000-30,000 mark, per game. Hopefully next home game, Jayden will be on the ...

The first day we went to Edam, aka cheesetown, and Marken, a quaint town on a remote part of the country. In Edam, we stayed at this adorable cafe for over two hours and ...

      Wine Time - Bordeaux

Bordeaux - wine country.. Sounds like my kind of place! The bus ride from San sebastian was short and sweet and we were in Bordeaux by around midday. We were expecting it to be a bit colder than San Sebastian here but it is hot hot hot! Thankfully we are staying at a hotel here (no hostels in Bordeaux) so we have the luxury of air cond which has been a delight after sweating in hostels. I have also been relishing in the lovely ...
