We found a good spot and got settled, relaxed for a bit, the weather was sunny and about 27 and later on we prepared a pasta. Than we walked to the nearby village of Cayac where we discovered an ancient "gite" where from the 13th century travelers to Compostella could eat and sleep. Even now you can eat and sleep for 10 €. Not the type of place a tourist would find being high up in the hills. The view, the company and the food -beyond words. I thought I ate well in Italy but France has been a whole new gastronomic ...

    ... it.

Next up, Notre Dame. On the map, it looked like it was just along the road. In reality, you had to wind through back alleys to get to it. However the extra effort was worth it. We spent quite awhile looking at in, relishing the beauty of it as well as the peace and quiet surrounding it.

Off to Place Pey-Berland we went and the Cathedrale St-Andre was truly beautiful. The ceilings were intricately furnished and a sight to ...
