... 2 nights because we will go to the wine town of Sancere with Jenny and Adrian from Misty Morning to do a bit of wine tasting at the different caves as well as see the beautiful medieval town that they have recommended.

Later we went to the pub restaurant over the road and got on to their Wi-Fi and we had a long clear chat with Steve and Nanka. It was good to see and talk to them; this Skype is wonderful when it works ...

We came to the south of France via the westerly route. We return through the centre, passing places with the names of French specialities: Roquefort, Volvic, Puy and Vichy. Why are so few English foods named after their origins? We can only think of cheddar cheese and Stilton - and even Stilton was never made in the village that bears its name. The Chateau was disappointing and we checked out as planned, and found a nearby motel type place. Both of us wanted a decent shower,( Chateau's was broken) and a few more facilities. Neither of us could understand the Chateau - they had a microwave, a fridge, sink with dishwashing liquid and a frying pan, but no crockery or cutlery! doh! ...
