    Will write this up as time permits but the highlight for me today was the visit to a little village called Apremont which is very proud of being beautiful and rightly so http://www.apremont-sur-allier.com/the% 20village.html

    Up and off on time. We road up and down a local road to warm up then we headed straight up to Sancerre, a hilltop, medieval village. It was 3kms up. I took it nice and steady and was able to achieve the climb without stopping or getting off.

    We left Barbizon on Tuesday, August 25 for Montargis. Before leaving Barbizon, we received a dose of culture by visiting the gallery of Jean-Francis Millet (1814-1875).
