A six hour drive today, we left at 7am and arrived at 2pm - lots of traffic, just did they highway but spent around 65 Euro in tolls. Speed limit most of they way was 130.

We arrived outside our apartment and it looked like a derelict building with a big green door, soon our host Christelle arrived and we were immediately under her charm.

We went into the city center for a glass of wine and dinner. The centre is quite interesting, with many wine bars and restaurants.

The wine we had was good, but we needed more time to really get an appreciation of the local wines.

... things without waking up the kids or the hosts.

By the time we decided what to do and put a lamp on, our visitor had disappeared. But then we heard a scratching noise. He was hiding in the little space between the armoire and the wall. I had an idea. There was a rolled up rug of sorts on the floor. With Carissa's help, I threw it over the top of the armoire in the hope of wedging it in the space between the armoire and wall so the bat would stay ...
