... fatties. They were difficult to talk to, as the husband spoke French and the wife spoke Flemish, and neither of them understood very much English or Mark’s French. We did stuff ourselves silly with jambon perseille (look it up), lamb shanks, and molten chocolate cakes. 3rd August- Our Rhine cruise over we were dropped at the train station in Basel. Turned out to be the wrong station, so it was a scramble onto a bus to find the other station. There we met up with Marianne, who stayed with us earlier in the year and lives in Solithurn, an hour from Basel. Also met her brother Franze and his girlfriend Ursula. ... went the opposite direction.  We we arrived before dinner at the municipal campground in Beaune. The medieval city looked inviting but we were hungry and badly needing showers and a glass or two from the bottle of local wine we had bought earlier in the day. The Beaune campground is impeccable and we highly recommend it. We settled in for our first early night of the trip so that we are well rested to explore the walled town ...

... people per bed. We got to see the pharmacy and the church also. The tiles were painted on the roof just like in Dijon. My group did not see the kitchen and when I talk to others I am so upset that I missed that! 2. Mustard factory would not allow cameras inside so I don't have too many pictures. Family owned for 300 years and they are the only place that still use a stone grinder! We got to taste mustard ...
