    ... They hear me speak and proceed to talk at me at 100MPH in an accent I haven’t ever heard before… :-/ The Beijing accent sounds like they add a bunch of RRRs in…I spoke to 8 different people who all sent me in completely different directions. Eventually I found a sign that matched the street name where I was supposed to be and someone directed me to the 365 hostel where a sweetheart named Alfie checked me in with perfect English.

    ... called chicken bones didn't look like chicken......not many dogs running around in China, I wonder why...mmmm???? Last stop for us was to visit a eye glasses shop to get some cheap reading glasses, then we were driven home by the shop owner , still bumper to bumper traffic at 10 at night. Tomorrow the Summer Palace, and much more, we are seeing so much over here very busy schedule. Google must have upset the Chinese Government as cannot access Google or Gmail ...all ...

    ... stated the public entrance is via Meridian Gate. Seeing some scaffolding, I thought maybe the entrance had been temporarily moved due to the construction. I walked around for about 15 minutes trying to figure out where the entrance was. I ran into a few other foreign tourists who were likewise confused. I asked several locals but nobody could understand me. But I found an English speaker who said, “Entrance here, but Forbidden City closed on Mondays!” ...

    ... Duck........it turns out we both like China Chinas version much better at Craigie cross.....Perth...........also you don't need to dispose of your own ducks head, which is a bonus, on the plus you do get a postcard from the late duck telling you where he/she was born and breed.

    Its safe to say we will sleep well tonight!

    After 24 hours of travelling we arrive in Beijing at 3pm local time, takes an hour n 40 mins to get through passport control ��. Another hour in a taxi to get to the hostel, a quick dinner then to the hostel bar for 80p bottles of beer (Tsingtao) Early ish night tonight ready for Tianamen Sqaure ...
