Today was the day. Ihad circled this on the itinerary 6 months ago. Today we visited the Great Wall. I'll admit that I was a bit giddy when the bus pulled into the parking lot. I believe we have just been marked as spies. Should we ever return to China and actually enter the country I believe we will be shown directly to the second screening process or denied entry.

We had eddoes (little white, sweet things filled with a variety of fruit jelly), deep fried spinach, Kung Pau Chicken pizza that was delicious, and a basket of duck which was oily and not very good, especially after our Peking duck the night before. ... to the Square and back. We found an interesting alley way tonight off a shopping mall. It seemed to be the place for the locals to hang out. We came across a stall selling fried scorpions on sticks. Before they were cooked their legs and claws were still moving. I moved on quite quickly. Macca's chips were much more inviting for dinner. There is a multi-currency card ATM on the second floor below the lobby in the Peninsula Hotel diagonally opposite the Novotel Peace ...
