... In 2011, a blind runner was the first-place woman in the whole race. I think that is just the coolest thing! She must be really fast and tough.

The Cincinnati Zoo is the second oldest zoo in the United States. It looks like it would be a fun place to visit. They have a lot of baby animals there - so cute! I am attaching a picture of a baby cheetah.

Today we were in Cincinnati, OH, which turned out to be a bit colder than I was prepared for. The last three venues, being Phoenix, Austin, and Dallas, were unbelievably hot I was expecting a slightly cooler, yet still warm day. Well, it turned out to be a bit chilly out, especially where my camera was set up.



The day started out normal with the usual shuffling about, getting parts moved on stage, though this venue had yet another tight dock ...

Bad storms on the horizon forced an early portage at a Cincinnati-are Walmart. Tried my best to capture the lightning to no avail. The best was a glow through the clouds. Had to pull over anyway because, as you can see, the navigator fell asleep! Home ...

... game. It was a struggle at times to stay focused on the game but I managed and thankfully so because it was a good one. Most people may not say that of a 1-0 game (which by the way how can Americans say there is not enough scoring in a 90 minute soccer game but sit for 180 minutes for a low scoring baseball game and not think twice?) but Matt Garza made it entertaining. He threw a complete game 2-hit shutout. ...
