... the ground, a chill in the air that doesn't quite announce snow (except in Ottawa), pumpkins on every front stoop - has been very special. Even more special has been the opportunity to spend the month of November connecting with friends and family at what seems to be a perfect time for visiting. ... the mist from the falls when you are on the freeway. I didn't know it was mist at the time - it looked like smoke. Our hotel is lovely - what a relief. (Of course, it's still no 5 star in Montreal but that will be ALOT to live up to.) Dave, our valet was a laugh and very helpful. We have a falls view room - and what a view. I'm sitting here right now with an uninterrupted view of 2 massive falls. So beautiful. You can hear the roar of the falls - magnificent. ...

When searching for flights, it made more sense to book from Edmonton to Toronto and Toronto to Barcelona separately. Not only did I save money and have one less connecting flight, but it was an opportunity to explore a city in my own country. Toronto was a lot quieter than I expected. The streets at night were calm with little traffic. It was only until spending Saturday walking around Yonge Steet and passing through Dundas Square for Buskerfest that I really saw any hustle ...
