Pretty uneventful day: walked to the train station, took the 10-minute train ride to the airport, flights from Zurich to Gatwick, and Gatwick to Prestwick.
Just a side note of something that I think would only happen in Switzerland: when I put my MacBook into the security bin, the security guard asked me, “That’s it? You don’t have an ipad as well?” ...

... a restaurant situated on the side of the ski slope where people who would be skiing for the day could stop in and have a coffee or something to eat. Zurich – edge of the big freeze

... themselves were clean and comfortable and we never worried about missing our station because we were given plenty of warning when it was approaching. The stations were also clean and easy to navigate. Australia's rail system could clearly benefit from examining the Swiss system.
