    The last stop on this incredible journey -- Venezia (or "Venice" to YOU Americans/Canadians).

    We have walked out of quite a few train stations on this trip, but we saw nothing like the sight here. The Grand Canal right in front of us, with speed boats, gondolas and water taxis going by at their respective speeds. A bright sunny day added to the picture.

    This morning we visited the Museo per la Memoria Di Ustica. It is a memorial for a plane that was flying from Bologna to Palermo and exploded midair plummeting it into the ustica sea on June 27th 1980. 81 people died which is a huge human tragedy but this was augmented by the civil tragedy as the state offered no explanation.
