    ... we hit Jerry Lee Lewis' 'bar. Here were a rockabilly.style trio lead by a man who had a magnificent greasy black ducktail and 50s retro bowling shirt. Tall and Irritatingly cool this man played "killer style " boogie piano, feet on keyboard, pounding with elbows showman ****, until he swapped piano for gee tar and rocked that too! As the show built to a whooping , hollering climax he played a classic rocker, set fire to lighter fuel on piano ...

    We didn't go in this one but we loved the sign.








    Barry had a dance when the Elvis impersonator was signing and didn't know I had the camera out. The singer wouldn't allow me to take his pic when Barry sang with him. Spoilt sport.

    --Shopping: Three of us girls got off at the south end of Main Street to see some of the shops. So fun to look in the little shops especially Hoot & Louise and the bookstore--check out the children's book "The Unpopular Pea (& Carrot) by Elle Valentine, a local writer--such a great message.

    ... turn (I’m not a good navigator) and ended up on a narrow rocky dirt road with no cell reception. We climbed through the hills for about an hour, and every house we went past (not many) had signs up saying ‘No trespassing’ and stuff. We were a little worried about getting a flat tire, walking up to a house and having someone pointing a rifle at us! We made it out though with no problems.

    ... garbage it could have been the city dump. Incredibly, after two months on the road, this is the first time I have encountered roadside trash. Mostly what I see on the roadside is old tire treads and a few dead small animals. Oct 29-Nov 4 Have not had wifi since arriving in Tunica, so this post is a summary of that visit.
