... Venezia! We took our time taking in the scenery from all four sides of the square tower. We were able to spot most of the key areas; St Mark's Square (directly below), The Rialto Bridge, the Basilica and a few more. There were four cruise ships in port. Back to the hotel to check out. I was running out of shirts, so had to make a purchase of a ...

... the Alps, surrounded by grapes almost ready for harvest. And we even had a special guest show up half way through dinner! Margherita's oldest son, Ferdi (Ferdinando) who is a reknown film producer/director in Rome surprised us with a visit. The next day was the Italian public holiday of ...

Today was sail away day from Venice.
We were awake before 7:30 am again after having been up past 2 am. We weren't scheduled to leave Venice until 2 pm so we left the ship and explored more of Venice this morning. I had to use the restroom in Venice and when we finally found a WC (water closet)... it was 1 Euro to pee. Well, at least it was nice and clean! We went to the local ...
