We were able to spot most of the key areas; St Mark's Square (directly below), The Rialto Bridge, the Basilica and a few more. There were four cruise ships in port. Back to the hotel to check out. I was running out of shirts, so had to make a purchase of a ...

Venice is by no means a cheap place to visit, a 12 hour pass costing E18 per person. I won't complain about the prices of public transport ...

... best for wedding photography, as we were treating to a bridal couple posing all over the square. Needless to say that amused me for a while. We continued to just wander around and as the crowds of tourists started to join us we headed into a park for a bit of a rest, or in my case and an hour or so snoozing in the sun. After lunch in a little cafe the rest of the afternoon was spent poking around the shops and just getting lost in the maze of streets and ...

... as well as get splashed by the cool water here and then when another boat passes by.
Don't be afraid to do something new like ride in a boat with a stranger. They are reliable people who you can trust. They make your night turn into an endless night full of memories. It is worth it. Don't think twice about doing it. You don't get to do this everyday unless you live in Italy. ...
