    ... Venezia! We took our time taking in the scenery from all four sides of the square tower. We were able to spot most of the key areas; St Mark's Square (directly below), The Rialto Bridge, the Basilica and a few more. There were four cruise ships in port. The passengers must still have been on board as it wasn't crowded when we walked through the square.

    ... bus. Didn't realise as I left my bags in line and popped over to get a double espresso to wake me up, turned around to find the bus there and everyone else on board. Rushed back (with my coffee) just in time to board. So I was very early for my check-in. Was allowed 23kg and my bag weighed 21kg.     ... gondolas have to drop you off the other side for security it was great, the gondolier said it was like a tsunami, lots of choppy water. We had a great ride, saw casanovas house, Marco polos house. It was really good.     Had a full and lovely day in venice yesterday - a unique and beautiful city with its canals . We walked all day which was tiring but a good way to see the twisting alleys and get a feel for the city.
