The hotel was built in the 1980s and has 80s features like the sink in the room and a very small bathroom (as in stand in tub to close door). The room was a good size and clean. Could use a chair so you don't need to sit on bed. The air conditioner is a wall unit but worked well.

When I left the Rib Lake camp yesterday morning, I headed for Timm's Hill, the highest point in Wisconsin, and enjoyed a beautiful view from the watch tower. I then discovered a sign pointing to High Point Village nearby and went there. I sat outside a very nice restaurant and had a cappuccino. Afterwards I had a chat with the hostess, Lyle …

I don't know what I was expecting from this shower. I guess I was expecting a steady stream of cold water. I got the complete opposite. It had a button that you push and you get a stream of refreshing warm water for about 20 seconds before it turns off. The warm water felt amazing considering the ...
... was called Tom's Burned Down Cafe and had lights hung everywhere and sayings written all over the walls. The people all looked like hippies. A guy came over (clearly overly intoxicated) and told us to wait when he leaves. Everyone waits to go anywhere at least 5 minutes after he leaves because he drives in zig zags. Then a guy named Alex came over and was chatting with us. He is living on the island for the summer, working at the bar. He used to work on robots but he got laid ...
... and got a scoop to sit out on the lawn to eat while we waited for the ferry to return. We both had a great day.
Friday, we started out for Marquette MI. Now, I need to tell you a little about our trip. Started out just like normal. We’re getting pretty good at getting the trailer tanks dumped and the inside ready to roll.
Now, Suzy and I love to do road trips and have taken our share ...
